The Difference Between Enjoyment and Getting Up Their Nose(es)! Audience is the First Consideration. Whatever the media, the first consideration must be to entertain the audience without being offensive. Some ads may not adhere to this but in the main they end up with getting the viewer/consumer offside. Tell the Story. Any copy that works should have a bit of wit, but should be framed in a story with an intoduction and a pay-off. The pay-off should be charing of a secret rather than a cheap trick. Reaching the Audience. Good copy is based on getting audience attention and then having something to say. It sounds simple, but good copy that works doesn't lose site of this process. |

But don't forget the brand! This is my hobby horse. There are so many funny ads out there but when you say to someone "who was it for?" they either give a competitor's name or can't remember! Rule No:1 Don't be so creative and witty that you overlook the importance of the name of you client's product! Cheers Munaiba |
