My Copywriting Rates
I usually work on an hourly rate. It costs you less.
I know it feels nice to get a fixed price, but in reality, when I work on an hourly rate, it costs you less. That's because you pay only for the time I spend. When I quote fixed prices, on the other hand, I have to assume the worst. I have to factor in all the unlikely risks. Like the job taking longer than I estimate because of something unforeseen. Or the client demanding hours on the phone.

That's Australian dollars (AUD) and includes GST. If you're outside Australia, you don't need to worry about the GST. You can see what these rates are worth in your currency here.
How long does it take me to write stuff?
Obviously I need to know a bit about your job before I can estimate the investment involved, but I can say that Home page copy takes a long time (up to 10 hours for 200 words). Other web pages don't take as long (usually about 1 hour per 100 words). Sales letters take quite a while too (usually about 3-8 hours). Please email me for a detailed estimate.
You still get a written estimate & contract
Even though I'm working on an hourly rate, I can still provide a fairly accurate estimate. This comes in the form of a written proposal, complete with contract of works, and terms and conditions. Please email me for a detailed estimate.
Prefer a fixed price?
If you'd prefer a fixed price, I can do that too, but as discussed above, it usually works out quite a bit more expensive, because I have to factor in ALL the risks, even though they eventuate on only a small handful of jobs each year.
